Immanent landscape held exhibitions twice across Australia and Japan. In Melbourne 2010, in Tokyo and Oyama 2011, 8 participating artists visited those locations each time and worked together on installing artworks and participating events. In Sydney 2012, as a completion, the final exhibition will be held to overview the last two exhibitions and the process of the project.

It is wonderful if we can be connected through the act of feeling such landscape as we stand in ‘Immanent landscape’.

In 2012, the third exhibition will be held at Japan Foundation Gallery in Sydney.

In 2011, the second exhibition was held at Oyama City Kurumaya Museum of Art in autumn. Prior to the exhibition, active researches and residencies took places in Tokyo and Oyama and artists made strong links with locals, as well as the exhibition being highly engaging.

The first exhibition was held at West Space, Melbourne. We used the entire gallery spaces (Gallery 1+2+3) to present 8 artists works and work together to install works in a way which each work stands on its own but resonate with each other, in turn, creating an landscape as whole. We wished the exhibition would be the place for audience to recall or imagine their own landscapes.
